    William-Adolphe Bouguereau

William-Adolphe Bouguereau was a French painter. He lived from 1825 till 1905. He was in his time considered
to be one of the greatest painters on earth. Celebrities wanted to buy his portraits. After 1920 his paintings became unpopular. Probably because the changing Spirit of Time could not handle his expressions well. Fortunately the last 20 years his work is appreciated again to its right value. Some experts reckon him to be
one of the greatest 19th century painters. Experience for yourself how the feminine soul aspects are brought to come alive in his works in a very convincing manner. The paintings are ordered as much as possible according to date of creation.
